Riverside Remembered - October Event

The Riverside area around Smithfield Road has undergone many significant changes over the last 50 years and holds a special place in the hearts of many Salopians.

That’s why the Riverside Remembered social history project is bringing together a collection of the lived experiences of Shropshire residents (past and present), capturing your memories of this area of town and what it meant to you. By using photos, videos, documents and interviews alongside archive material the project will create a visual history of Riverside through the years.

Members of the public are invited to bring their photos/mementoes and share memories orally for adding to the archives. There will be a display of archive material from Riverside, a screening of the film about the historic development of Raven Meadows and the Smithfield Riverside model.
