Sarah Evans Mosaic Mural – Free Craft Sessions

Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings have commissioned Sarah Evans to produce a stunning mosaic mural to go on the terrace in front of Main Mill. This piece of new artwork will be created by many different groups in the community and will ultimately be exhibited on the northern end of the East Terrace, overlooking the former canal. The many small panels painted will form a larger image of a canal boat and waterside scene.

As well as working with local schools and community groups she will complete some of the panels working with visitors here at the Flaxmill Maltings. If you are interested in contributing to a panel she will be working in Turned Wood Café on Friday 29th November and Thursday 12th December at 10am. Please do come along, whatever your artistic ability, and contribute to a brand new piece of local art!

The Mosaic Mural is being made possible by National Lottery players as part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund Activity Plan at Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings.
