12 Drummers Drumming – There’s only one drummer drumming in Shrewsbury this Christmas and that’s Patrick – the star of our new Christmas film! Produced by local company Painted Life, ‘Find magic in Shrewsbury at Christmas’ was our largest production to date with almost 100 local residents working on it, both in front of and behind the camera.

Eleven Pipers Piping - Whipping up a treat this Christmas will be a breeze with the help of independent Shrewsbury cookshop Cooking Kneads, here you find all you could possibly need to magic up something scrumptious.

Ten Lords a LeapingTheatre Severn is dancing into the New Year with a calendar fit to burst with exciting headliners. Acts from across the world will be tangoing into town including the National Dance Companies of Wales and Ireland, and Strictly Come Dancing favourites Kevin Clifton, Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice! Grab your tickets quick as these shows are bound to dazzle and amaze.

Nine Ladies Dancing - Christmas is all about slipping into something sparkly and stepping out in those show-stopping dancing shoes. If the ladies in your life dream of designer then head to Charles Clinkard in High Street or Ella Cru on Wyle Cop for all shoe shenanigans.

Eight Maids a Milking - Shrewsbury's Milk Street (pictured above) is the place to go for Christmas indulgence. Check out Hopefully Made for earth-friendly screen printed products, and mouth-watering fare. If you need a pit stop then head to CSons, Peaberry, The Old Post Office or The GreenHouse Café to refuel, and Rizzo’s Hairdressing for some seasonal salon time.

Seven Swans a Swimming – The Quarry is Shrewsbury’s beautiful, 29-acre park, encircled within a loop of the majestic River Severn. Take a seasonal stroll along the avenue of lime trees, and gander at the waterway that Shrewsbury’s resident swans call home.

Six Geese a Laying – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Whether you prefer your eggs fried, scrambled or poached you’ll find something to taste in Shrewsbury. For a mouth-watering traditional breakfast look no further than The Loopy Shrew, who team their eggs with locally produced, award-winning Wenlock Edge sausages. For an authentic taste of France, try brunch at Chez Sophie – Shrewsbury’s dedicated creperie. Or, if you’re after breakfast on the go, make sure to pop into Pret-A-Manger on Shrewsbury’s Pride Hill.
