The newest addition to Shrewsbury's culinary offerings, Okra is a plant based haven. With fresh, flavourful vegan street food, Okra has a core lunch time menu of five items with weekly seasonal additions. Breakfast is served until 11.30am, whilst fresh smoothies are available throughout the day to satisfy your appetite.

Menu highlights include the breakfast sweet potato granola, mexican flatbread, and crispy polenta fries.

The Greenhouse Café

Vegetarian and Vegan, 1A Milk Street, SY1 1SZ

Hidden away in a bright and airy first floor restaurant, The Greenhouse Café offers a selection of vegetarian and vegan cuisine for eat in and takeaway.

Their menu is an ever changing, seasonal selection of salads, quiches, pasta and rice dishes. All lovingly made in house, their homemade ketchup and bread are not to be missed.

Itadakizen

Itadakizen has health and well-being as the central ethos of its cuisine. With it's sister restaurant in London considered by Vogue magazine to be one of the capital's best vegan restaurants, Itadakizen is an experience not to be missed.

Rice, root vegetables, seaweeds and soya beans are recurrent ingredients in their dishes, which Itadakizen deem essential for a strong metabolism.

Menu highlights include their fried vege balls, bento boxes, and sumptuous chocolate cake.

Bare Organic

Opened in the Autumn of 2019, Bare Organic has quickly garnered a steadfast following.

Specialising in organic vegetarian and vegan home-cooked food, their menu is bursting with delicious seasonal fare. Their drinks menu is filled with speciality teas and coffees, organic and fairtrade soft drinks and organic wine.

Menu highlights include their breakfast pancakes, nana bowls, and luxurious hot chocolate.

Plantkind Falafel

Vegan, 4 Milk Street, SY1 1SZ

Opened in 2017, Plantkind Falafel is one of Shrewsbury's longest running vegan offerings. Their freshly prepared salads, soups and falafel have developed a loyal following, and for good reason.

Menu highlights include the street food of the day, falafel box, and home made hummus. Don't forget to bring your own reusable box and cutlery and get 20p off your food order.
