Free Parking on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in August

Hundreds of independent shops, one of the finest town centre parks in the UK, an array of narrow shuts and passageways to explore... Shrewsbury is a magical destination at any time of year, but with FREE PARKING for much of August, there has never been a better time to visit.

Parking is free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in selected car parks in August - and is free on Sundays all year round – meaning it’s free to park in Shrewsbury for almost half of the month.

Take in the delights of The Quarry – a majestic park which sweeps down from the imposing St Chad’s Church to the River Severn as it loops around the town centre – with its state-of-the-art children’s play area and splash park.

Or enjoy a leisurely stroll through town, stopping at the numerous cafes, restaurants and pubs which nestle in every nook and cranny of Shrewsbury’s medieval town centre.

Then there’s Shrewsbury’s award-winning market hall, containing a fantastic blend of trendy street food eateries, quality local farm produce, artisan food and drink, unique art and handcrafts, home accessory and gift boutiques and a whole lot more besides.
