‘Acoustic Adele’ comes to Shrewsbury this Saturday

The sound of Adele comes to Shrewsbury this week – in the form of a tribute night staged by a rising local talent.

Libby Gliksman will be performing songs by one of the UK’s biggest stars at a special evening on Saturday 30th July.

The ‘Adele Unplugged’ event at the Wightman Theatre in The Square is being sponsored by Acoustic Boutique, where Libby works.

“I am really looking forward to the tribute night as I have huge admiration and affection for Adele and want to share my love for her with my local audience,” said Libby, who started performing at 16 and was most recently heard on stage at Shrewsbury Food Festival.

“Her songs have feeling and meaning and they resonate with me as I try to touch people’s hearts when performing.

“I love making people happy through my singing and think that music is brilliant,” Libby comments.

It was her love of music that landed her a job at Acoustic Boutique, in Shrewsbury’s Square, which specialises in music and cinema systems, speakers and headphones from manufacturers such as Bose and Sonos

Libby added: “This is my ideal part-time job as it enables me to pursue my music career and also advise customers about how to get the best sound system in their homes.

“I am extremely grateful to Acoustic Boutique for sponsoring my Adele evening on 30th July, where I hope to play to a packed house.”

Tickets for the show are on sale at the Wightman Theatre, by calling 0800 292 2116 or on the Wightman website.
