Going, going, gunged - messy fun-filled afternoon planned for Children in Need

A gunging for staff, cake sale, leg waxing and balloon popping for prizes will be among the activities taking place at University Centre Shrewsbury's Guildhall to raise money for Children in Need. Students have planned an afternoon of fundraising for the BBC charity at the learning and research base on Wednesday November 11th, open to all.

Remembrance services to honour fallen heroes

The Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Miles Kenny, is calling upon members of the public to join him in attending two Remembrance events taking place in the town. A Remembrance Sunday service will be held at St Chad's Church on November 8th at 9.45am.

Friday 30th October 2015 marked the end of Shropshire Council's consultation on the future of swimming in Shrewsbury. 2015 Christmas lights switch on set to be cracker of an event

Shrewsbury's festive season is set to kick start with a bang as the town's Christmas Cracker event returns, bigger and better than ever. The switch-on is being organised by Shrewsbury Town Council, in partnership with Shrewsbury Shopping Centres, Shropshire Council and Shrewsbury BID, which is sponsoring the event.

University Centre Shrewsbury hosts international visit

University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS) has been put on the map with the latest in a series of visits by international Higher Education experts. Staff at UCS recently hosted a visit by Tiko Bokeria from the Tbilisi Medical Academy in Georgia.
