Shrewsbury BID scheme helps businesses save more than £65,000

Significant cost savings have been identified for more than 25 town centre businesses in Shrewsbury thanks to an initiative launched by Shrewsbury Business Improvement District (BID). Specialist consultants Meercat Associates are working to negotiate better deals for Shrewsbury BID members on their utilities, telecoms, waste and recycling services as part of the free advice scheme.

Some of the best restaurants in Shrewsbury are helping to raise hundreds of pounds for an African charity by taking part in a unique dining event. Food-lovers across the county are invited to 'Dine Around the World' on Tuesday 20th October with Shrewsbury-based charity Self Help Africa.

Amateur Bakers Rise to the Sourdough September Challenge
