Shrewsbury Night Bus Trial

A new night bus service is coming to Shrewsbury from 8th December every Friday and Saturday night until the end of the year, bringing a cheap and easy way to travel for those coming in to enjoy the town’s night time.

Velvet Underground tribute band to play first gig at the end of December

A new Shropshire based band, which is a tribute to The Velvet Underground, play their first gig at the end of 2017. 

Established after two co-founders realised they held a mutual appreciation of Lou Reed’s iconic Avant-garde collective, also made famous by another artistic icon Andy Warhol, VU will perform at The Vaults in Shrewsbury on Thursday 28 December.

‘12 Days Of Christmas’ fundraising campaign run by charity The Hive in Shrewsbury

The Hive, an arts charity and venue in the heart of Shrewsbury has launched a Christmas Fundraising Campaign to help raise money for the various projects it runs throughout the year. The ‘12 days of Hive Christmas Campaign’ is asking for donations of £5 that will help support projects The Hive delivers to thousands of people in challenging circumstances across Shropshire throughout the year.

Final preparations underway for Shrewsbury’s Carols in the Square

Final preparations are underway for Shrewsbury’s Carols in the Square concert on Wednesday evening.

Shrewsbury Town Council staff have been working hard over the last few days to ensure that the Square has been cleared of snow and ice so that the ever-popular festive event can commence from 5.30pm with music for all the family.
