September sees the return of the monthly Shrewsbury Farmers and Made in Shropshire markets, bringing a plethora of Shropshire based artists, craftspeople and food producers to our town.

Shrewsbury Market Hall is opening late on September 7, enjoy a relaxed family friendly evening with delicious food and drink and a spot of twilight shopping.

Coming to Shrewsbury for the first time, on September 14, is a completely unique shopping experience; Shrewsbury Preloved Vintage Kilo. Find everything from vintage dresses, retro blouses and skirts, flannel, leather, denim and more. With all items hand-picked and graded by the market team.

Heritage Open Days

Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,500 organisations, 5,000 events and 40,000 volunteers.

Every September places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.

Multiple locations across Shrewsbury will be holding special events and opening their doors for this annual event including Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, The Unitarian Church, Coleham Pumping Station and more.

World Championship Coracle Race, September 13

The River Severn will be filled with the thrills and spills of the World Championship Coracle Race this September as the major charity event makes a welcome return.

The race will see teams of four paddle a traditional coracle boat in a relay race across the river, with the winners being crowned world champions. Having raised £20,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support last year, organisers are hoping to beat that total this September.

Shrewsbury Beatles Weekend, September 20-22

This year Shrewsbury is celebrating all things Fab Four!

Shrewsbury Beatles Weekend is hosting a number of events throughout the town in celebration of one of the UK's most iconic bands. The four-some will be celebrated with film screenings, live music, town tours and more.

The entire weekend is in aid of the Mayor of Shrewsbury's 2019-2020 charity, The Samaritans of Shrewsbury.
