A World War Two history walk

Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings and surrounds during the Second World War.

This is a guided walk lead by Friends of the Flaxmill Maltings' volunteer and professional archaeologist Simon Jeffrey. It will start at the Soldiers of Shropshire Museum and make its way to Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings via the Greenfields area, covering the use of the Mill as a Kings Shropshire Light Infantry training camp during the war, highlighting areas where practice trenches were dug and the site of the only bomb to drop on Shrewsbury during hostilities.

The walk is free though donations are appreciated, is about 2 miles long and will take around two hours to complete.

Please book a ticket for each attendee.
