The Quarry Park

The Quarry is Shrewsbury's beautiful, 29-acre parkland, encircled by the majestic loop of the river Severn. The Quarry has been Shrewsbury's most important site for recreation since the 16th Century. Situated alongside the River Severn, the Salopian Bar is a unique establishment, offering a great selection of real ales, Belgian beers and ciders, served in a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere. There are eight ales permanently on sale, and the pub holds two real ale festivals each year. There are also three Belgian Beers on draught and a good choice of bottled American and Belgian Beers.

Mardol

The Shrewsbury Hotel is located opposite the Welsh Bridge and River Severn. It is a J D Wetherspoon hotel, offering superb quality, choice and value, in food, drink and accommodation. The Three Fishes is a CAMRA approved pub with a cosy, friendly atmosphere, which provides a warm welcome to anybody. The timber building, dating from the 16th century, has great character and charm. The Three Fishes offers a fantastic selection of traditional, home-cooked foods, real ales and fine wines.

The Town Fryer is a friendly fish and chip shop, situated opposite the market hall in Claremont Street. As well as the old favourite fish and chips, there is a good selection of delicious and satisfying food, including kebabs, burgers, sausages and pies. There is plenty of seating upstairs, so customers can eat in or takeaway. Staff provide a warm welcome and excellent service.
