Late night shopping in Shrewsbury
Shrewsbury's retailers are getting ready for a magical Christmas by extending their opening hours, allowing you longer to stock up on your Christmas gifts and essentials. Late Night Shopping will be taking place across the town every Wednesday from 23rd November to 21st December 2022.

Have an Original Christmas in Shrewsbury
This year you can celebrate Christmas beneath Shrewsbury's Old Market Hall. Bask in the light of Shrewsbury's sparkling Christmas tree whilst children post their letters to Father Christmas in our Christmas post box, which has a direct line to the North Pole.
Write your very own letter to the big man in red, or download a template letter here.
The Shrewsbury post box will be in place from the Christmas Lights Switch On on 23rd November.
Father Christmas is very busy getting ready for Christmas Eve, if you would like a response to your letters please make sure to post them before Monday 19th December. Please make sure to include your email address if you'd like a response.
Where to find Father Christmas in Shrewsbury
For the first time, this year Father Christmas is setting us his grotto in Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery. He'll be joined by his team of elves in a wonderous workshop, crammed full of history and magic, from November 23rd to December 23rd.
This Christmas, The Darwin will be visited by their Festive Friends throughout the festive season. Find Father Christmas roaming the shopping centre every weekend in December and the week before Christmas, Monday 19th - Friday 23rd December.
Enjoy Seasonal Live Music
This Christmas we're spreading seasonal cheer across Shrewsbury's town centre with a calendar of festive music. Every Saturday enjoy the musical talents of some of Shropshire's finest acts: Saturday 26th November Got 2 Sing Choir, Saturday 3rd December Stiperstones Brass, Saturday 10th December The Black Eyed Susans and Saturday 17th December Rock Choir.
