A historic, Grade I listed, former 16th century coaching inn, located in the heart of the charming town of Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
Each one of the 59 bedrooms has its own character boasting unique furnishings and original features. All bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom, LCD Freeview television and tea & coffee making facilities.
The Lion Hotel has a fine history of holding events for the local nobility and gentry including Charles Dickens, Darwin, Paganini and King William IV. Today the fine banqueting suites are used for events and weddings in Shrewsbury for up to 200 guests.
