About this event

Join us for our FREE tour behind the scenes as part of Heritage Open Days 2026. We hold over 6 miles of documents in our store rooms from 12th century charters to modern newspapers. You’ll discover how we care for them and there will be a display of documents celebrating everyday histories.

Tours will last 45 minutes and will start at 10:15am and 11:30am.
The store rooms are on different levels but we do have a lift.

When: Tuesday 15 September 2026 at 10:15am and 11:30am

Cost: FREE but please book your space in advance by emailing archives@shropshire.gov.uk as places are limited.

You’ll need to leave coats and bags in a locker before the tour starts.
