About this event

Join folklorists Alix Chidley-Uttley and Amelia Foggin for a unique and informative evening as they discuss British Folklore. From Robin Hood to the history of Nursery Rhymes, looking at a centuries-old fascination with folklore, how it encroached and remains in everyday life, tree folklore, saluting Magpies to saying good luck, to the ornate carvings and masonry on our churches. Alix and Amelia will delve into the very social influence of folklore; a subject that has, of late, seen a renaissance of interest.

Guests will be greeted with a custom-made cocktail for the event and a glass of wine at the interval. There is also the opportunity to purchase Tapas on the night.

See you there! Due to popularity, we are running two consecutive nights.
