Shrewsbury International Comedy Festival presents Hasan Al-Habib. Hasan is an award-winning stand-up comedian, writer & actor.
A practising Muslim, he will be seen as one of the ‘Pilgrims’ in the new series of Pilgrimage, airing on BBC Two over Easter this year.
Hasan performed at the Midlands regional heats of the BBC New Comedy Awards 2024, won the 2023 Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award and was a finalist at the 2022 Chortle Student Comedy Awards.
Hasan made his solo debut in 2025 with Death To The West (Midlands) – a love letter to his Iraqi heritage and upbringing in Birmingham – selling out his run and multiple extra shows.
