Shrewsbury Cathedral's Anniversary and Restoration Project visit

The cathedral is celebrating its 170th anniversary this year and is being restored, with the reordering taking it back to its 1850s/Pugin roots. Coinciding with the Cathedral’s anniversary programming, we’ve got a special visit to the foundation designed by AWN Pugin for John Talbot, 16th Earl of Shrewsbury, and completed by EW Pugin. Mass at 12–13 (optional); tour from 1pm–3pm. Cafe on-site (closes 3pm).

The visit begins at Shrewsbury Abbey at 10.30am. It is a 10-minute walk between the abbey and cathedral .Those wishing to attend Mass at Shrewsbury Cathedral can leave the abbey independently while the tour finishes up before heading to the Cathedral for lunch at the cafe.
