Wine Tasting at GlouGlou

Our tastings, led by one of the Glou Crew or Iron & Rose team, will introduce you to new wines, tell you the stories behind them, informing and we hope entertaining you! 

These tutored tastings take place every first Wednesday of the month (except January) and each follows a different theme.

The themes for the next few months are below but watch out for more food and wine events through the rest of each month and special "meet the maker" evenings when we welcome a wine grower or a farmer or food producer and often all three at once to talk about what they do.

February - Vino Amore: celebrating the Venice Carnevale and the wines of Northern Italy

March - Mother Nature: spring, new beginnings, working with nature, and International Women's Day 

Tickets are £39.50 each which includes generous pours of five wines accompanied by a few delicious, wine friendly snacks from the Glou Kitchen. These tastings are held at Glou Glou, 17a Castle Gates in Shrewsbury, starting at 7pm and finishing by 9pm. However, the bar is open from 4 - 10pm so there's plenty of time for another glass.

PPS and you can enjoy a Wine Flight at GlouGlou or PetitGlou at any time. 50ml pours of five different wines, introduced with the story behind the label by one of the Glou Crew. A great way to spend a little time enjoying some wine, learning a little and sharing an experience. Your own personal wine tasting!
