Wine Tasting at GlouGlou

Our tastings, led by one of the Glou Crew or Iron & Rose team, will introduce you to new wines, tell you the stories behind them, informing and we hope entertaining you! 

These tutored tastings take place every first Wednesday of the month and each follows a different theme.

The themes for the next few months are below but watch out for more food and wine events through the rest of each month and special "meet the maker" evenings when we welcome a wine grower or a farmer or food producer and often all three at once to talk about what they do.

Still to come in 2025:

• September 3rd - Wine 101 - Liquid Geography: We're getting back to basics with this one. How wine is made, what makes it taste the way it does, and the fundamental differences between the kind of wines we champion (wines made by farmers, not factories) and the more "industrial" end of the spectrum.
• October 1st - (Re)discover - Wines from off the beaten track: Find your new favourites, travel a bit wider and explore a bit deeper into the world of wine. There's lots to discover!
• November 5th - Wine 101 - French Classics: November is the month of Beaujolais Nouveau, that uniquely French annual harvest festival in a bottle so at this tasting we'll be pouring a few other French classics, talking about why they got so popular in the first place and what the best growers are doing to keep them in the limelight.
