Shrewsbury comes alive at Christmas, with plenty of places to capture Christmas cheer. Indulge in mince pies and mulled wine, pick up perfect presents or celebrate the party season.
The Original Shrewsbury Christmas
This year you can celebrate Christmas beneath Shrewsbury's Old Market Hall. Bask in the light of Shrewsbury's sparkling Christmas tree whilst children post their letters to Father Christmas in our Christmas post box, which has a direct line to the North Pole.
Write your very own letter to the big man in red, or download a template letter here.
Father Christmas is very busy getting ready for Christmas Eve, if you would like a response to your letters please make sure to post them before Thursday December 17th. Please make sure to include your email address if you'd like a response.
Free Parking
Parking will be free from 11am to 6pm in all Shropshire Council car parks from 3 December [2020] to 17 January [2021], to provide the county’s town centre traders with a welcome boost once the current lockdown ends. Click here for more details.
