Original Shrewsbury Ambassadors
The Original Shrewsbury Ambassadors provide visitors to Shrewsbury with a warm welcome and a wealth of knowledge about the town during weekends and bank holidays in the summer months.
The purpose if the Ambassador program is to improve the visitor experience, encourage repeat visits and increase dwell time and help visitors to experience all the fantastic things Shrewsbury has to offer! The Ambassadors are volunteers who have an interest and passion for the town who are provided with free training to understand the purpose of the project.
The project is funded by Shrewsbury Business Improvement District (BID), who are now looking for volunteers for 2024 to be the welcoming face of Shrewsbury as town ambassadors, and pass on their invaluable local knowledge to visitors.
Anyone is welcome to apply to be an Ambassador. The main attributes you'll need are to be engaged, welcoming and friendly and happy to brush up on your Shrewsbury knowledge!
