3 fantastic eateries for afternoon tea
The Armoury
Based in Shrewsbury's waterside Victoria Quay, The Armoury is the perfect spot for any meal: tables by the river for those sunny days and a truly impressive space inside, illuminated with large windows, making the most of the riverside view.
Indulge in 3 tiers of classic British cuisine; cakes, scones, finger sandwiches and more. Complimented with pot of tea or coffee – or upgrade for a glass of fizz!
The Loopy Shrew
A stylish British restaurant, The Loopy Shrew never fails to delight with its modern, locally sourced menu. Their interior is indulgent, offering seating to suit any occasion; a vibrant bar, main restaurant, café bar and snug, and private mezzanine.
Their afternoon tea menu is a board of treats, with locally sourced sandwich fillings and their famous Scotch egg, completed with a selection of sweet treats, teas and artisanal coffees.
Ten and Six
Located on one of Shrewsbury's most historic streets, Ten and Six is Shropshire's only Wonderland-themed bar. Inspired by Alice's adventures through the looking glass, the champagne bar is renowned for it's unique and refreshing cocktails.
Join the Mad Hatter for his themed afternoon tea: a selection of sandwiches and wraps, cakes, brownies, desserts and other treats - all calling out 'Eat me!'. Accompany your meal with a selection of teas or fizz.
