The practical bit - getting here!
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so expect town to be busy from mid-afternoon. If you’re driving in, it’s worth checking your options ahead of time on our parking page. If you’re out late, plan your lift home before the night gets going rather than after. As always, don't walk home along the river after dark.
Before you go...
Shrewsbury has had a long time to collect ghosts. There have been 1,000 years of battles, rebellions and more than one grisly murder - even a medieval serial killer. Plenty of them have left a story behind.
If you’d like to know who might be walking alongside you on that ghost tour, our guide to Shrewsbury’s best ghost tales is a good place to start, and our Myths and Legends trail takes it - literally - a step further. Best read with the lights on.
