Shrewsbury is open

After a wet and windy week, Shrewsbury has bounced back and is well and truly open for business! It's now more important than ever to shop local and support our traders.

Shrewsbury is open!

The majority of businesses within Shrewsbury's town centre have now reopened, with a small number remaining closed. We recommend checking with businesses before starting your journey.

The following key locations are open: Shrewsbury Market Hall, The Darwin Centre, The Parade, Shrewsbury Library and Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery.

Accessing Shrewbsury's town centre

Parking in Shrewsbury's town centre is now largely back to normal. St Julian's Friars, Abbey Foregate and the Raven Meadows Multi-Storey are open as normal. Frankwell Main car park is also open, with limited spaces. Frankwell Riverside car park remains closed.

All major routes in, out and around the town centre have now reopened, including Smithfield Road, Coleham Head, Chester Street and Cross Street, Castle Foregate, and the English and Welsh bridges.

Shrewsbury bus station is now open with services running as normal.

Shrewsbury Train Station is open, all lines are running some with small delays. However, the Shrewsbury to Newtown line remains closed, with a rail replacement bus service in operation.
