School and Community Garden Competition

Heather Robinson and Becca Dean from Shropshire Festivals

Shropshire Festivals is running a garden competition for local schools and community groups!

The award-winning events business has partnered with David Wilson Homes and Barratt Homes, who will fund a garden project for one lucky Shropshire school or community space, worth up to £1,500.

The top three designs will be displayed at the Shrewsbury Food Festival in the Quarry on June 27th and 28th, where visitors will vote to decide on the winning design.

About this competition

To enter, download an entry form and submit a garden design for a small or large space. Ideally, the design will celebrate sustainability, a key ethos of Shropshire Festivals, by incorporating eco-friendly features such as recycled materials. Elaborate water features or ponds will not be accepted. Entries are accepted from Shropshire-based schools or community organisations only. Commercial, private, or business spaces cannot apply.

Closing date for entries is Friday, June 19th, 2026 at 12pm.
