Beginners Free Motion Embroidery Class

This can also be known as Drawing with your Sewing Machine.

We will look at the foot that is used to help the machine skim across the fabric and the reason we drop the feet teeth. These two small adjustments will enable you to sew in any direction without turning the fabric and also create some beautiful free motion patterns.

This piece of work can then be used to create pictures to place in a frame, or a cushion front. Come and let your imagination run creatively wild and produce a wonderful piece of textile art.

Skill level : Basic sewing machine skills required.

What to bring:

• ½ metre of Calico
• ½ metre of medium weight fusible interfacing
• ½ metre of bondaweb
• Fabric Scraps

Janome sewing machines will be provided on the day along with a hot drink. You will also receive a 10% discount card to use in-store.
