Sofia accompanies her ailing mother Rose to the Spanish seaside town of Almeria in search of a cure for her mystery illness. When Rose’s emotional grip on her daughter intensifies, Sofia is drawn into a surreal world of desire and self-discovery, enticed by the charms of enigmatic traveller Ingrid.

Pent-up resentments between Sofia and Rose lead them to a dramatic conclusion in this hauntingly poetic psychological drama.
