Join Local Historian John Pryce-Jones as he looks at the Church Warden’s Account books for St Oswald’s, in Oswestry, for evidence of the impact of the 1566 Act for the Preservation of Grain on local wildlife. This act aimed to protect grain supplies by offering financial rewards for killing vermin, which included birds, foxes, polecats and especially hedgehogs.
