Assistant Manager

Due to internal progression, we are excited to be recruiting for an assistant bar manager to join our team, working in our vibrant cocktail bar Albert & Co Frankville. This vibrant venue requires creative individuals with a good knowledge of cocktails and a keen interest in live music, as well as the enthusiasm to deliver a first-class experience and a keen eye for presentation.

The successful candidate will assist in the following areas:

• Managing the business aspects of the bar such as stock taking, stock ordering, implementing and maintaining health and safety/legal policies, managing budgets, and setting goals.
• Train staff to provide excellent service.
• Create effective rotas and quickly resolve conflicts to ensure the bar is well staffed during peak hours.
• Maintaining quality standards.
• Plan, implement and take part in promotional events.
• Maintain a fun, safe atmosphere for all.
• Lead by example to ensure that the highest possible levels of customer service are delivered by the team at all times

The role is ideally suited to someone with previous experience at an assistant manager level however applicants with extensive bar supervisor experience will also be considered.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 1 year of experience working as an assistant bar manager or extensive experience at bar supervisor level
• Experience of fast-paced bar service
• A strong understanding of cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits
• Personal license
• Ability to train and develop team members
• Strong understanding of stock control and controlling wastage
• Passion for hospitality creating a fun working environment for team members and guests
• A fun-loving personality but with an eye for detail
• Legally able to work in the UK and must be over 18 years of age
• Available for both day and night shifts, with most hours being focused around evenings and weekends.
• Confident and outgoing
• Able to remain calm in a busy environment
