Job Information
Ensure that cleaning rotas are completed on a daily and weekly basis and that all closedown procedures are carried out.
Handle guest complaints, requests and enquiries and to refer serious complaints to the senior manager on duty.
Communication
Re-iterate and communicate our brand standards at every opportunity through on the job coaching and at twice-daily pre-shift meetings.
Ensure that staff are fully aware of all current and forthcoming events, promotions, menu changes and policy amendments.
Liaise with the kitchen, bar and reception teams on daily operations and customer events.
Financial Awareness and Accountability
Account for the settlement of all bills.
Handle voiding, correcting and changing bills in accordance with the prescribed cash-handling procedures.
Identify and correct any errors.
Balance the day’s transactions to computer print outs and reports at the end of the shift using established cash-out procedures.
Compile end of day reports including shift commentary, sales, ticket times, discounts, specials and promos.
Training, Development and Staff Development
Ensure that all staff members are taken through the company and site-specific induction process including brand standards, health and safety and product training.
Be involved in and support the training and development of all floor staff via On Job Training and corrective coaching.
Manage the content and implementation of training manuals for all floor staff.
Ensure all staff receive constructive performance reviews on a regular basis.
Demonstrate a genuine belief and pride in The DiTella Group at all times and act as an inspiration to others.
Probation Reviews
Assess training and development needs during the probation period in order to identify any potential areas of concern and provide constructive and meaningful feedback to trainees so they are clear as to expectations, strengths and development area and carry out three monthly probation reviews.
Health and Safety
Ensure that the bar and restaurant is safe and operating within the legal and company requirements for Fire, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene Licensing Law and Environmental Health. Attend any training as required by the Company and re-enforce these through training, communication and on the job coaching.
