Shrewsbury Carnival

About

Shrewsbury Carnival and Show is one of the largest free one-day events held in Shrewsbury, bringing together the local community and helping to promote local charities and organisations.

The 2020 theme is yet to be announced.

A small team of volunteers plan the Carnival and other fundraising events throughout the year, encouraging local businesses, charities, groups, dancers, bands and performers to entertain the crowds on the day, as well as taking part in the main parade which is the focal point of the day.

The committee relies on donations from local businesses and fundraising to be able to put on the event, which raises valuable funds for local charities, groups and organisations.

The day begins in the Quarry at 10am with stalls, arena entertainment and a funfair.
