A Shrewsbury Original
BodyTech was founded in Shrewsbury by fitness trainer Jeff Anderson in October 1998. The company has expanded over the years to include gyms in Whitchurch and Market Drayton and establish The BodyTech Institute of Training and Education.
BodyTech prides itself in offering a personal approach to members of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. Members range in age from just two up to 98, and many have been using the health club for 10, even 20 years.
Its team is expert in helping members achieve a wide range of fitness goals including weight loss, weight training, sports specific intensive training as well as recovery from injury or ill health.
The BodyTech Institute of Training and Education trains fitness instructors up to a Level 2 Certificate and personal trainers up to Level 4 and offers a course in Nutrition, Performance and Healthy Eating up to Level 3.
The Institute is an approved training centre with Active IQ, the UK’s leading awarding organisation for the active leisure and wellbeing sector, and has trained more than 100 new fitness instructors since it was founded in 2016.
It also provides Emergency First Aid at Work courses for individuals and groups. These are open to anyone, from workers of any sector who need training to meet HSE compliancy, to people who simply want to learn how to save lives in the event of an emergency.
Day courses, priced at £80 for individuals (discount available for large groups), are available at both the Shrewsbury and Whitchurch BodyTech Health Clubs. The team can also visit workplaces in Shropshire to provide on-site training.
