Shrewsbury is gearing up to celebrate its first Pride Festival! Use our handy what's on guide and discover everything happening in the town centre.

HIV AIDS quilts

Exhibitions

Saturday 30th September

1pm-4pm, A display of memorial quilts for those lost to HIV and AIDS at CUPS Coffee and Creators. Created by artist Garry Jones to mark the 40th anniversary of the first diagnosis of AIDS. 53 in total were made and commemorate significant dates and important facts and are designed to Remember, Celebrate and Educate.

Exhibition of sculptures from internationally renowned artist Andrew Logan at Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery.

Window mural by local artist Saffron Russell, giving you the perfect Pride selfie at Nationwide.

Fringe activities

Saturday 30th September

1pm-3pm - Spoken Word Open Mic at In GoodHands Cafe, Frankwell. All are welcome.

1pm-5pm - A selection of stalls and an information point at Shrewsbury Unitarian Church.
