Fabulous Fossils

A free drop-in event for budding young (or older) geologists.

Come and see our collection of Shropshire fossils, and learn about the weird creatures that formed them and how they did it. A fascinating insight into the world as it was hundreds of millions of years ago when Shropshire was lapped by tropical seas!

This event ties in with the DarwIN Shrewsbury Festival events taking place around town – the great man himself started early, collecting different pebbles from the driveway at Mount House, and going on to start his career by investigating the geology around Shropshire and across the border into Wales.
