Free Motion Embroidery - Sewing Cards for Christmas

If you have never tried Free motion before, also known as drawing with your sewing Machine, this is a great way to start.

Having learned the basics you will design and make some unique Christmas cards for family and friends. These are also great for selling at Craft fairs. No two cards are the same and the possibilities are endless.

There will be several designs to choose from or you can let your imagination run wild and create your own. Although we will concentrate on beautiful Christmas cards this technique can also be put into decorative embroidery frames and given as a very personal gift to a special person.

So if you would like to give unique cards or gifts this Christmas whilst learning a new technique then this class is for you.

Skill level : Basic sewing machine skills required.

What to bring:

• 30cm of Calico
• 30cm of medium weight fusible stabiliser
• 1 packet of 'Hemline' fusible web (paper backed)
• Fabric Scraps of patterned cotton fabric including pictorial fabrics (Christmas colours or patterns)
• Dark thread

Janome sewing machines will be provided on the day along with a hot drink. You will also receive a 10% discount card to use in-store.
