About this event
Shrewsbury Sparks - Young Writers Group is a workshop designed to develop writing skills for young people (ages 8-11) in a relaxed, ungraded setting.
The workshops are once a month and run by experienced educators. The group will meet in Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery education room and may bring refreshments.
We encourage young people to join one group for the year, as getting to know their fellow group members is an important part of developing as a writer. We are pleased to be able to offer free places to those who receive free school meals or pupil premium funding at school. Please contact Sparks with any queries.
Young people will need to bring:
- a notebook or some paper
- a pen or pencil to write with
- a snack and a drink, if required
Led by writer Lou Minns, with an assistant writer.
