About this event

Thirty odd years since they last took to the stage, Wolverhampton’s very own Sandkings sold out their comeback show in Wolverhampton within record time.

Original / longstanding members Glenn Dodd, David Brown and Terry Kirkbride, along with new singer Vince Cocker, are set to wow crowds again and take us back to those halycon days in Wolftown.

Contemporaries of local bands such as The Wonder Stuff and Pop Will Eat Itself, Sandkings had success in the late 1980s and early 1990s after signing to London Records. With a number of brilliantly received singles and a debut album, they went on to tour with The Stone Roses and support other major bands of the day such as the Stuffies, Levellers and Jesus Jones as well as selling out the Wulfrun Hall and other headline shows.

Following the release of three Anthologies on renowned Wolverhampton based label Revolver Records, the Sandkings renaissance has now developed to the point where fans will finally get the chance to see them live again.

TV Pins complete the line up, bringing their vocal harmony drenched sounds of West coast Americana with distinctively British avant- garde song writing and sounding like an updated version of that classic band you’d forgotten how much you loved.

This is set to be another amazing party! The rain has passed and it’s time to meet up at the rainbow’s end again.
