Dem Bones!

About

Come and rattle our bones! Investigate the scaffolding under the skin and find out how it varies between different creatures.

Skeletons are fascinating – they tell us so much about the creatures that once owned them! Whole dinosaurs have been ‘reconstructed’ from just the bones!

Come and learn about how bones work, and how they differ according to the lifestyle of the animal. Have a go at putting together a skeleton. Ever wanted to feel what a bat’s teeth are like? Now’s your chance. Everything from a pigmy shrew to a woolly mammoth – their teeth show us how they live.

Another of Dr Cath’s drop-in holiday nature events at The Cut.
