The Buttermarket

The Buttermarket, an iconic grade 2 listed building, is Shropshire’s biggest entertainment venue, comprising of three unique floors – The Cellars, Main Arena and VIP Mezzanine levels. The venue hosts a range of live concerts and gigs, banqueting, conferences, comedy nights, nightclub promotions, cage fighting and many other entertainment activities.

The Curry House

The Curry House was opened by our ancestors in July 1970 and is located on Mardol, one of Shrewsbury’s oldest streets in the heart of the town.

The Shropshire Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre and Shop, or The Cut, is a beautiful arrangement of buildings and garden situated near Shrewsbury Abbey.

The Drayton Restaurant & Takeaway is located on Shoplatch in the heart of Shrewsbury town centre, and has been serving customers since 2003.

A family business, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Androulla has been running The Drayton since day one and her vast knowledge and passion is demonstrated by the award winning food served at The Drayton.

1 Roushill Bank

The Dresser is a well-established designer womenswear shop situated on Roushill Bank. The Dresser offers a great selection of leading designer labels, including Hugo Boss, Marella, Versace, Ralph Lauren, Armani and much more. Owners Sian and James Turner have built up a large, loyal customer list and staff provide a warm and friendly service.

Theatre Severn

The Foundry Restaurant is a cafe by day offering a great selection of teas, coffee and cakes complete with a seasonal menu to suit all tastes. As the day evolves to evening The Foundry transforms into a relaxed restaurant atmosphere where we offer a great pre-theater experience with stunning views of the river Severn.

24-25 Princess Street

The Gallery is a traditional tea room located on Princess Street. The Gallery serves breakfast, light lunches, cream teas and a range of cakes and puddings. Staff offer all customers a warm welcome.

The Gateway
Chester Street

The Gateway is an Education and Arts Centre, purpose-built and well-equipped for courses, training, presentations, meetings and conferences. There are a number of multi-purpose rooms, a small theatre, a larger conference room, art and pottery rooms. Rooms are equipped with modern IT equipment, and staff are always on hand to provide assistance.

The GreenHouse Café

The GreenHouse Cafe is a family restaurant offering vegetarian and vegan cuisine, with extensive gluten-free and takeaway options available.

5 Belmont

The Hive is an arts and entertainment venue, as well as a charity working with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, offering a varied programme of events, from cinema to live theatre, language classes to toddler groups, life drawing sessions to holiday workshops, open mics through to wrestling, plus world-class jazz and folk concerts and much more!

The Hole in the Wall Shrewsbury

The Hole in the Wall is a traditional, cosy town centre pub where customers can always enjoy a decent pint, along with a selection of tasty pub food.

The pub is steeped in history, located on the site of a 13th century mansion, and was a favourite stopover for travelling performers in the 16th century.

St Julians Friars

The Hop & Friar is a local pub where friends meet to drink good beer and watch sports. There is a sun trap of a garden at the rear and an open fire with a snug area for colder weathers. The Hop & Friar offers some of the finest real ales and selection of drinks available in Shrewsbury.
