Home Essentials on Castle Street Shrewsbury is the charity shop arm of the Shrewsbury Furniture Scheme, a local charity which opened in 1994, supplying affordable household goods for re-use by those in need.
All items are generously donated and if items remain unsold to those in need at the main warehouse in Monkmoor Road, Shrewsbury, they are then offered to the general public through the shop. Tables, chairs, beds, wardrobes, sofas and bric-a-brac are for sale in the shop, bringing new life to older pieces and supplying the charity with additional income to help it keep prices low for those who need it most.
